Become the Boss of Your Life
The BOSS Technique is a proprietary coaching model I created for dealing with all levels of stress. Whether you want to harness the power of stress to achieve huge goals, you want to be able to better manage life’s daily stressors associated with family, career, and multiple competing obligations, or you want to overcome the stress associated with trauma, The BOSS Technique can help!
The BOSS Technique includes four main components:
B = Balance
When you make the decision that enough is enough and you are going to take back control of your life, it is time to become aware of the areas where stress and trauma have infiltrated your life. It’s an opportunity to dream again and decide what you want your future to look like. My job as a life coach is to help you move from where you are, to where you want to be, but we first have to know your starting point and the destination you are aiming for. So we examine the 10 areas of your life (career, finances, contribution, health, personal growth, spirituality, family and friends, romance, recreation, and environment) and devise a plan to bring all areas of your life into harmony.
O = Outcome specification
Once we identify the gap between where you are now and where you want to be, it’s time to set goals to begin to decrease that gap. As a Certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner, I find the Outcome Specification Model, an NLP technique for setting goals, very useful. It allows you to look at the goals you want to achieve, to drill down to the nitty-gritty details on why you want to achieve the goals, and to create a plan for how you are going to achieve them. Part of why trauma and many stressful life events can be so devastating is because they signify a loss of control. Setting goals, and a plan of action to achieve those goals, is extremely empowering and is an important step in beginning to take back control of your life.
S = Self-talk
When you begin to take back control of your life, it’s not uncommon that the nagging inner-critic will begin to rear its ugly head. This is where is can be easy for your negative self-talk to derail your progress towards your goals. This is why it is important to learn how to tame your inner critic and replace self-limiting beliefs that no longer serve you with beliefs and habits that will help you to achieve the goals you are aiming for.
S = Self-care
A critical component to healing from trauma and coping with life’s mounting pressures is learning to take care of yourself and to begin to believe that you deserve love, kindness, compassion, and care. When you really start to feel that you are worthy, you begin to feel that you deserve happiness and success. Self-care is important to build that belief that you are deserving. You don’t wait to practice self-care until you feel worthy. You practice self-care to remind yourself that you are worthy. The more you practice, the more ingrained this belief will become and the more likely you will be to take consistent actions to improve your life.

"Stephanie has become one of my most valued mentors. She has helped me make decisions about whether or not I should return to school to get my master's, she helped me decide which job opportunities were best for me, and has even helped me begin to think about what kind of parent I want to be once my husband and I have children. She always listens carefully and takes the time to really think before giving advice. I am very, very grateful for the impact Stephanie has had on my life. "

My goal is to create courses that will transform the lives of my clients. If for any reason you are not thrilled with the content and the potential impact it will have on your life, I will refund your tuition 100% within the first 30 days after purchase. No hoops. Just email me at [email protected]
I offer two courses with similar content. This one, Stop Letting Stress Control You and another, Transformation After Trauma (learn more about this course by clicking here). The Stop Letting Stress Control You course will be the best fit for you if you feel overwhelmed by life’s common stressors (e.g. work, finances, family), but you have not experienced what would be considered trauma. Although all traumatic experiences are stressful, not all stressful life events are traumatic. Trauma overwhelms one’s ability to cope. Events that would typically be considered traumatic include, but are not limited to, war or terrorism, sexual or physical assault, a severe accident or injury, or the sudden unexpected or violent death of someone close. If you have experienced trauma, the Transformation After Trauma course would be the best fit for you, even if the event occurred many years ago.
If you are unsure of which course to choose, please email me at [email protected] or schedule a free discovery call to discuss which course would be best for you.
Participants will have access to the course content (all modules, videos, and tools) for at least one year after registering for the course.
No worries! This course was designed to be a move-at-your-own-pace program. Therefore, you can pause and/or revisit the program anytime within a year after registering for the program.
Of course! Although I am confident that you will be able to complete the 6-week course entirely on your own, you might find it beneficial along the way to be able to work with me on specific obstacles you are facing. Just email me at [email protected] and we will set up an individual coaching appointment or a package based on your needs.
Likewise, if you sign up for the 12-week coaching program and want to add additional calls in the future, please email me and we can schedule additional calls based on your needs.
